School Director

I have been in early education for more than 10 years and have loved every minute of it. I love spending time with my family watching movies and snuggling them. They truly are the reason for my continued growth. I love doing what I do and making a difference in the lives of people who make a difference in mine.

Baby Whisperer

I have worked in early childhood education for over 8 years and have found my calling in the infant room. I am working toward my degree in Educational Studies. When I am not at PCA, I enjoy spending time with my son, daughter, and granddaughter. My favorite childhood memory is climbing trees in my backyard and going four wheeling in the desert with my parents.

I am a Two’s teacher and I have been with the school pretty much since it opened. I have been in early childhood education for over 24 years. I enjoy spending my days with my kiddos and watching them grow into big preschoolers. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog Ozzie. I am also excited to be a new grandma.

Phoenix Children's Academy Private preschool is the best child care place my children have gone too. All the teachers are patient and kind with all my children. My son is developmentally behind and they never for one moment treat as such witch is such a huge step to getting him on track. They also have helped with my daughter emotional readiness for kindergarten and I am so thankful.

Phoenix Children’s Academy is such a wonderful, loving and fantastic place for your child. As a former teacher and preschool director I can tell you that this school and its teachers not only care about your child, but treat them as one of their own. Our son loves going everyday and the enjoyment he has makes me feel so comforted as a mom. I get updates and pictures throughout the day, which is so great to see him smiling, laughing and learning. I give this school the highest of recommendations!

I am writing this review from a different POV than most parents who might be inclined to give a rating to this childcare facility... First, I am a parent of kids who are now older (but I will show you why my input is relevant...)... but also, I am writing this as a former private nanny, and as the mom of someone who is now caring for these precious kiddos. I was nut asked to write any reviews, nor is anyone there aware I'm submitting this, not even my daughter. First, I was given a tour of this facility when my daughter was hired, as she is just shy of 18 by about four months currently, so I had to give written permission in person for her to work. (and to her credit, she is well-qualified... 2+ years of formal Advanced Chidhood Development coursework, she was my "right-hand gal" all the while when I was a nanny, and she has years of her own childcare experience too). I always thought to get this level of care, a family would have had to hire someone like me as a private nanny. I have seen and toured other childcare facilities when my own kids were young --when trying to decide if I would continue to nanny, or work into another career and find childcare in doing so.. I then made the decision to nanny with my kids, partially because I feared my kids would not get the quality of care that I could give the myself while also being a nanny (and our situation going forward worked for us very well). But the facilities I toured at the time didn't give me the restful, secure, nurturing feeling that I experienced not only in visiting this Phoenix Children's Academy, but also the small things I learn from my daughter (who I'm thrilled finds a special fulfillment daily) in this environment. She comes home with her heart full of love. That makes my own mama heart so happy. She doesn't share anything she is not supposed to, as she tells me a big part of her training is for the safety and security of the babies and kiddos in her care. But she tells me enough that I can see that the kiddos are in the care of good staff who are there for the right reasons. They care about the safety, happiness, security, fun, and well-being of all the kids in their care-- that speaks volumes. I know the activities, the snacks and meals, the children's napping cots, the soothing music, the structure, the cleanliness, the care for the emotional well-being, and the nurture.... All of it is out of the love that their carefully selected staff has for the children in their care. We have all heard horror stories about "facilities," while there surely are other wonderful group childcares out there too. But from all I've seen and experienced, this place stands out for so many pure and good reasons. I can admit, I would have felt just as comfortable having my own children in their care when mine were small, as I was caring for them myself, and I was very, very picky. (especially knowing I had spent all of my 20's helping raise and nurture other people's children as a nanny, and would have refused anything less than that for my own!) I am happy with the decision I made for my kiddos and for my self at that time.... But, I see and feel the high quality, attentive care within their rooms as well. For anyone who is scared to leave their babies in the hands of anyone besides a trusted family membe or in-home nanny (which are now incredibly expensive, more than ever, and out of reach for many parents).... I'm confident that you will feel the "at home" feeling, the love and nurture, and the caring bonds you need for peace of mind that your children are in the best hands possible There is a loving team of caregivers, teachers, and staff who make this place a human experience instead of a "facility." I'm thankful that my daughter is excited to go to work every day, and is excited to hang out with her little friends that make her heart happy daily. If this place were just a "facility"... For her, this would simply not be the case. She is thriving there, thanks to her coworkers, management, and overall warm, secure feel of this well-organized academy.
