About Creative Kids Preschool in Yorktown Heights

Creative Kids Childcare Centers is committed to providing children from 6 weeks to 12 years old safe and nurturing learning environments. We offer preschool and child care programs at five schools throughout Hudson Valley and our first center opened its doors in January 2001. Creative Kids Yorktown Heights was our second location and opened in August 2006.

Our directors, teachers, and staff are dedicated early childhood professionals who work together to create an early learning environment where every child feels at home. Our curriculum is flexible and individualized, which allows us to respond to the needs of each child as they develop emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.

Our Preschool’s Programs

• Infant Daycare (6 weeks – 18 months)
• Toddler Daycare (18 months – 3 years)
• Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten (3 – 5 years)
• Kindergarten Club (4 – 5 years)
• School-Age Program (5 – 12 years)

Our Curriculum

Creative Kids utilizes The Creative Curriculum® in our infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten programs. The Creative Curriculum® enables every child to become a creative, confident thinker because it’s grounded in 38 researched-based objectives. These objectives are based on school readiness standards and research has shown them to be predictors of future academic success.

Kind Child

Kind Child is an important part of our culture at Creative Kids. Our Kind Child program is a proprietary program that helps young children develop their character and social skills. We focus on a new social-emotional skills every month and a character trait like Responsibility, Thankfulness, and Friendship every two months. Our goal is to elevate the emotional well-being of every child in our care.

School-Age Program

Creative Kids Yorktown Heights offers an excellent before and after school program for elementary students who attend schools within the Lakeland Central School District. Our school is a stop on the bus route for the following schools:
