Children’s University offers exceptional care and education, starting with our preschool programs, and grows with your children as they transition to elementary school and into 6th grade. Children’s University has exceptional grounds with a nature center and barnyard with live animals cared for by our students as well as flower and vegetable gardens planted and maintained by the students.
McDowell School offers exceptional care and education, starting with our infant program, and grows with your children as they transition through preschool into elementary school. We successfully bridge the real world with the classroom through a challenging and enriched curriculum. Within our optimal classroom settings, we can tailor our programs to the unique needs of every student, allowing them to develop the skills needed to be critical thinkers and creative problem solvers.
At Smaller Scholars Montessori Academy, our trained, qualified and caring staff takes a hands-on Montessori approach to learning and provides quality programming and dedicated teachers for children 18 months to 12 years old. Due to our individualized instruction, you may apply for entry at any time.
Children’s Garden Montessori provides an elementary program for children 6 to 8 years of age. The program is based on the importance of a consistent environment where the children can receive individual as well as small group instruction. Each child receives instruction relative to their current skill level.
By participating in the Foundations Elementary School program, your child will:
• Be respected as a natural learner who thrives best in an atmosphere attuned to individual interests, strengths, and needs.
• Cultivate personal qualities such as honesty, curiosity, independent thinking, and respect.
• Gain true comprehension of the GA Performance Standards in Language, Math, Science, & Social Studies. Develop a sense of excitement, wonder, & curiosity for learning through interdisciplinary, inquiry-based projects.
• Progress at their own pace, constantly being encouraged to reach the next skill level, often in advance of their grade level.
• Pursue healthy physical activity and a meaningful experience of the arts.
